Join us for a peaceful and creative half-day workshop where you’ll learn how to needle felt a beautiful moonlit winter landscape. Using soft wools and gentle layering techniques, you’ll build snowy mountains, sculpt trees, and shape a reindeer beside a shimmering river.
This class is taught step by step, so beginners and improvers alike can follow along easily. You’ll watch short demonstrations, then work at your own pace—free to add personal touches or follow the example piece as closely as you like.
The setting is relaxed, sociable, and fun—a small group of no more than eight women sharing laughter, creativity, and conversation.
You’ll enjoy a light lunch together and later, cake and a hot drink at The Old Eden, or a pastry with a hot drink and lunch after the workshop at Raife’s, as we admire everyone’s finished pieces. By the end of the workshop you’ll leave feeling happy, uplifted, and proud of the beautiful 8x8” framed artwork you’ve created—often surprised by just how much you could achieve.
Please note that this workshop at THE OLD EDEN is held in an upstairs room.
Our classes are designed to be fun and engaging whilst having the opportunity to meet new people and make friends. There is no judgement of anyone’s work and we would ask that you are always kind to your fellow students. The classes are designed for beginners to more experienced students and no prior knowledge is necessary. Classes at The Old Eden are run from 12pm in the afternoon and we aim to finish at 4.30pm. Workshops will be no more than 8 people but some classes will only have 6 places available if the students will require a bit more help.
Questions are always welcome, in fact encouraged and there will be plenty of help on the day.
All materials for your class will be provided. You will have a light lunch and a soft drink on arrival and cake with a hot drink later in the afternoon. Please advise us of any food allergies or other food requirements.
